The past ten days or so have been ridiculous. Snow on top of ice. Snow melted into water, frozen back to ice. Tire tracks frozen on driveways and impossible to chip away. Ice everywhere. Black ice too.
As I write it is FINALLY ABOVE FREEZING! WHOO-HOO!
I've never been one to worry about falling, but when you have to walk across twenty feet of ice just to get through a parking lot, it's pretty scary stuff. (In dress shoes it's nervewracking enough. I don't know how people stay balanced in high heels!)
Good riddance Ice. MELT!
Well, it sure does feel good outside today. I'd even go for a walk, but I don't want to split my skull open. (Lousy excuse? Lazy excuse?).
AccuWeather is calling for above freezing highs for the next ten days. Enjoy.
